A sea of enthusiastic performing arts students, professionals and fanatics crowded into the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio as the doors opened for the 2015 USITT Stage Expo. A perfect place to learn about new products, discover upcoming industry trends and generate fresh ideas, USITT is known to be the gathering point for all things performing arts.
This year Staging Concepts decided to take advantage of this yearly exhibition to introduce its newest prototype, “Uplift.” This robust staging system is made to quickly change from floor elevation to various stage heights in a matter of seconds. Complete with multiple gas springs and linear bearings to allow for easy and smooth elevation change, the Uplift is made to assist with quicker stage set up.
The booth was equipped to display the newest that Staging Concepts had to offer, including Bravado™ Acoustical Shell. Launched in September, the shell attracted many good conversations within the theatre industry. Bolstering 16ft tall, this was Bravado’s second tradeshow debut, its first being LDI 2014.
Along with their newest products, Staging Concepts also took the opportunity to showcase some of their more traditional staging products such as a flexible seating riser system with closure panels, guardrails, and portable chairs.
All in all, this year’s USITT was a memorable tradeshow for Staging Concepts. With new products, engaged customer conversations and an influx of performing arts enthusiasts ready to learn what the industry has to offer, we are as eager as ever to see what the rest of the year has to offer!
