USITT’s Annual Conference & Stage Expo draws together practitioners from all corners of entertainment and performing arts , and coins itself as the largest full production event in America. The show focuses on bringing together theatre and live entertainment design, management, and technology industries to ensure a vibrant dialogue about industry trends and products. Staging Concepts joined the expo floor again this year with a large booth filled with exciting new developments, products and conversations.
Held this year in the beautiful St. Louis, Missouri, the conference drew excellent crows and more anticipation than ever. For this year’s booth, the Staging Concepts team decided to unveil and preview a product that had not even been launched yet – the new and improved, now mechanical, Uplift Stage. This brand new product drew crowds from across the floor to witness the drill-operated transition from floor level staging to an elevated platform. Attendees got to witness a preview of the Uplift before it was available, giving them a sneak peek to brand new technology just finished by the Staging Concepts engineering team. Crowds watched as our team operated the Uplift seamlessly throughout the show while also having fun showing the advanced technology of the item.
This year’s booth also featured the brand new Aria Acoustical Shell with revolving door and panel, towering at 12′ high and boasting a light wood finish. The Acoustical Shell was moved around the floor with its built in mover and T-handle, letting visitors see how portable and light the product really is. This show was the first time the new Aria has been debuted in person and was met with grand success.
