LDI 2015 Recap: Another Year of Firsts

LDI, LDI 2015 Recap: Another Year of Firsts

080This year, 2015 marks another year of firsts for Staging Concepts, who showcased new products and interactive displays at this year’s LDI show. LDI’s annual conference and exhibition returned to the Las Vegas Convention Center from October 23-25, drawing close to 10,000 from 88 countries to view the latest in lighting, staging and video technology.  This year’s tradeshow featured 350 exhibitors and, as always, a flurry of new and exciting products from companies small and large.

This year, Staging Concepts debuted its newly refreshed WeatherTec platform*, a highly advanced and successful all-weather platform. On the forefront of all-weather staging equipment, the WeatherTec platform* is designed to last and endure harsh outdoor conditions. An innovative aluminum honeycomb core makes the platform lightweight and durable in demanding weather conditions. Its enhanced weather-proof design makes it perfect for outdoor applications such as concerts, corporate events, VIP events, golf tournaments and more. Guests at the Staging Concepts booth were able to stand on the Weathertec platform* and view samples of its unique aluminum composition.

With a setup unlike any other, Staging Concepts continued to set themselves apart by having an interactive motorized display of the highly popular Bravado™ Acoustical Shell. The cloud, which is the portion of the shell that typically hangs above the orchestra, was constructed to be lowered and tilted so that visitors could experience the full effect of the product. The ceiling panels’ flexible design lends itself to easy integration with a wide variety of rigging systems, which was a great conversation point at the booth. 065

Made to improve sound quality in performing arts venues, this state-of-the-art system was a hit at this year’s show. On the opposite side of the booth, we brought back the Acoustical Shell towers, which boasted a maple laminate finish and easy mover, so that the crowd could move the Shell around for themselves. The tower’s wheeled mover is constructed with tri-casters, allowing for easy positioning and unmatched usability. Although they stood tall at 12 feet, visitors moved the towers with ease.

As we wrap up after this year’s show, we want to take time to thank both our loyal customers and our new visitors that took time to say hello to us at our booth! Stayed tuned and see you next year at LDI 2016!

(*As of 2019, the Weathertec® platform is no longer in production or available for sale.)
