To enhance the performance venue at Southwest Christian High School in Chaska, MN, an elaborate acoustical shell system was installed in January 2019. Unlike typical acoustical shell installments that use one version of Staging Concepts’ shells, Southwest Christian High School features a combination.
Two Bravado® Acoustical Ceiling Panels and nine Aria™ Acoustical Towers were installed at the high school’s auditorium. Because our acoustical shell panels are similar in design, developing a solution to use both brands for the towers and ceiling panels made sense. To comply with spacing restrictions within the auditorium, we designed a specialized system that is both functional and user-friendly. Not only does this acoustical shell system fit within the theater’s available space, but its practical design makes it easy for students to maneuver.
In addition to the acoustical shell combination, an orchestra pit filler was also installed at Southwest Christian High School. The pit filler was made up of our classic SC90 platforms, with a painted plyron mill finish, creating a seamless look for the stage.
Between the acoustical shell towers and ceiling panels, and the orchestra pit filler, the stage at Southwest Christian High School now has an updated look for a lasting impression.
