For the first time, Staging Concepts was selected by the Academy of Country Music to provide the concert stage design and equipment for their 50th Anniversary Awards Show. To help celebrate this momentous occasion, the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMA) and Staging Concepts teamed up with Product Resources Group (PRG) and The Colonnade Group (TCG) to provide a large seating riser at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys. The riser will seat over 1500 award nominees and invited guests to the nationally televised live event on CBS during the evening of Sunday, April 19.
This unique collaboration takes equipment previously utilized for the NCAA Final Four setups and blends in new equipment to create a one-of-a-kind seating riser. The concert stage design consists of a riser, which will extend above the existing north end zone seating and field suites, similar to previous NCAA setups. The addition of Relia beams will create tunnels under the riser for facilitating the movement of people and scenery below. Custom acrylic railing with LED tape will light the perimeter and showcase the guitar-shaped riser.
Stages to the left and right of the seating riser will showcase country music’s best and introduce upcoming talent to a crowd of over 60,000 attendees. Hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, with performances from Garth Brooks, George Strait, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and many more, the crowd will be the largest for a live awards show ever.
