Meet the Staging Concepts Team

Although Staging Concepts is much bigger than our sales and project management team (and we boast a staff of over 20 degreed engineers) we wanted to give you a way to get to know the people you work with on a daily basis. Get to know our team!

Blake Stromme: Midwest Sales Manager

I have been at Staging Concepts for two years after graduating from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. In my spare time, I enjoy playing hockey, reading, camping and watching bad horror movies. One of my favorite things about working at Staging Concepts is constantly working to find creative solutions for challenging projects.

Dumisani Thomsen: Project Manager

I’ve been at Staging Concepts for 1.5 years as a project manager. My favorite thing about working here is the large variety of unique projects to work on, Staging Concepts is always involved in many cutting-edge projects, while this can be taxing, it does keep things interesting. In my personal time, I enjoy training and competing in Jiu-Jitsu and Judo as well as getting outdoors for hikes and adventures with my dog and fiancée, especially on the weekends.

Matt Huebsch: Regional Sales Manager: Central

I’ve enjoyed spending the last 10 years traveling around the Midwest and South working within the performing arts and sports industries.  Meeting and collaborating with individuals in these unique markets has been rewarding and meaningful.   I love that every client, every project and every process is unique and challenging in its own way.

When I’m not busy at work, you can usually find me with my family in the Florida Keys or grinding over a 5 foot putt.  As a Minnesota native currently residing in Florida, any cold weather activity is frowned upon.  I enjoy fine bourbons, fast greens and calm seas. Oh and finger guns, can’t forget about finger guns.

Karen Tait-Fries: Sales Associate

I have been at Staging Concepts for a few months now after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Bowling Green State University. Post college, I moved to Minnesota and started working as a freelance carpenter for theatres around the Twin Cities. I was the Technical Director at Lyric Arts in Anoka until a brief hiatus and then ultimately landing here at Staging Concepts. Fun fact about me, I am an avid backpacker and have recently begun my section-hike of the 2,170 mile Appalachian Trail. Every chance I get I will complete another section of it until I complete the whole thing…and then I’ll probably start over.

Alex Murrell: International Sales Manager

In my spare time, I enjoy music, drumming, snowboarding, science fiction, science fact, board games, camping, stand-up comedy, international travel, DYI projects, art, writing. I enjoy working at Staging Concepts- the custom design-build capabilities of our design/engineering team and shop allows me to be highly creative when designing solutions for customers who bring us unique and challenging project opportunities.

Christina Shelton: Estimator

I have worked at Staging Concepts as an estimator for three years. It has been a perfect position for me because I like design, math and puzzles. Estimating is a combination of all three. I love the professional environment and commitment to excellence. I am originally from Wooster, Ohio. After HS I joined the US Army and served in Frankfurt, W. Germany. My favorite thing to do is to spend time with my family and friends. I love to run, race, mud run, swim, hike, camp, travel, snowshoe race, ski, paddle board and ride my ATV!

Brian Murrell: Project Manager

I’ve been at Staging Concepts for 5 years after graduating with a degree in Communications in 2011. I also completed my Certificate in Construction Management in Spring 2017. In my spare time I enjoy playing and watching hockey, heavy metal music, reading, golfing, boating on Lake Minnetonka, relaxing up at the cabin, and travelling. I love working at Staging Concepts because the team members and the increasing complex and challenging projects our company is taking on.

Brian Arnold: Director of Sales

I’ve been at Staging Concepts for 18+ years. My favorite thing about working here is that we’re in 5 Major Markets which are constantly evolving with new projects and challenges.  This keeps everyone on point and searching for new solutions.  But most important, we’re bolstered with an outstanding team throughout Staging Concepts, which makes working on projects all the more fun and seemingly effortless.  In my spare time, I enjoy traveling abroad, Architecture, Cars, Formula One Racing, Foodie: dining/cooking/wine, Hockey and Vintage Italian Scooters.

I have been at Staging Concepts for almost 6 years.
