HOW TO BUY - STAGE & RISER
The following are useful questions to ask yourself when thinking about purchasing a portable stage or seating riser.
STAGE
1. Is this stage for indoor or outdoor use? Or both?
2. What size is the stage? Or, how much space do you have to work with?
3. How tall is the stage? Should it be a fixed or adjustable height?
4. What accessories would you like to complement your stage platforms and supports? For example, stair unit, guardrail for the sides and rear of the stage, stage skirting, drum riser, sound wings, etc.
5. Will you require storage carts? If so, will you need storage carts for all equipment, or only for the platforms and/or supports? What size doorways will these carts need to fit through?
6. Do you have a budget in mind?
SEATING RISER
1. Is this for indoor or outdoor use? Or both?
2. How many times will this seating riser be set up and taken down each month/year?
3. What size is the seating riser, i.e. how wide and how deep? Or, how much space do you have to work with?
4. How many rows should the seating riser have? How tall should the last/top row be? Are there any height restrictions in the space where the seating riser will be?
5. Do you have a rise between each row in mind? Typical rise is around 7 inches.
6. How many people are you trying to seat? What size chairs will you be using?
7. What type of platform surface do you have in mind? Typical seating riser platform surfaces are black poly vinyl or carpet (black or grey are standard colors)?
8. What accessories will you need for your seating riser? For example, chair stops or closure panels, guardrail for the sides and rear of riser, skirting to mask the sides and rear of riser?
9. Will you require storage carts? If so, will you need storage carts for all equipment, or only for the platforms and/or supports? What size doorways will these carts need to fit through?
